Airtel - Post Paid Connection
Poor Network Connectivity & non response from the officials

This is to bring to your notice that I am an Airtel Mobile subscriber (Post Paid Account Number 102-102494604). I have this connection for the last over 7 years or so. I have been raising the issue of poor network coverage in Sukhdev Vihar area and it has not been resolved for a long time. The network has gone weaker over the time resulting in frequent call drops; connection errors when attempting to connect to others; incoming calls not getting through and my number coming 'unreachable'.
I first made a formal complaint at 121 in December. Early January I received a call from their representative that the problem has been fixed. However in real terms there was no improvement. It has only gone worse.
Several attempts over last few months to report my problem have, it seems, not been enough to attract attention of the airtel officials. When I had expressed the desire to unsubscribe from Airtel the retention team (falsely) promised me waivers and free airtime which was never actually given. A promise of a Rs 200 discount in my bill was offered on one occasion and on another a discount of Rs 150. But later when I asked them how to avail, I was told that those were only offered by the executives and does not have the clearance from the company.
Finally when I wrote to appellate body I received a call on 6 June and I was informed that my problem can not be rectified immediately however my inputs would be considered in future planning. The person admitted that the rectification of the problem involves investment on part of the company and hence not a priority at the moment.
This problem is not Individual specific but area specific since many others on airtel network in this area and near by colonies face the same problem.
I am not surprised as to why Airtel does not want to do anything about this problem since poor network only means more profits for the company. I for example end up making 10 calls in place of 1. OR when an incoming call drops, I have to call back few times to complete the conversation. Which of course means a higher bill and hence more profits for you.

I request you to take up this issue seriously. I should be allowed number mobility so that I am not made to suffer on account of high handedness by the service providers.
Being a responsible customer who has paid all her bills much before time and never faltered, I demand better service against what I am charged. When I am paying service charges, why do I not get satisfactory service. I also demand a full refund of all my money by the company if the network is not improved in next 7 days.
