Lost the Sim Card

Sir/Madam,

This is to bring to your kind attention that I had lost my Airtel Sim Card, No.9944086647 by misplacing it somewhere in my home. Wherever it may be, I thought it would be safe, because it should be inside my home only. I was with a hope that if I found it, I could use it as an additional phone. Then and there I used to make a call to this number and used to hear the answer 'this number is switched off'. But today when I tried I shocked to hear someone answering me back! I am aware that if for some period, if I don't recharge my number can get cancelled. But I want to make a complaint registered so that it will be a proof, 'I am no more the owner of the number - 9944086647', since I had put up my photo, address and other details along with my signature in the application form. I hereby request you that my complaint be registered please.
