Faulty kitchen and cheated

I had bought a modular kitchen for my new home, from Akruti Kitchens situated at Tardeo. When visited first by my mom they
said that all can be done within the range of Rs. 80, 000/= to 1, 00, 000/= depending on customers requirements. We had liked
the initial customer service and the kitchen at display but we never knew that we were falling in a trap of high cost and
worst quality kitchen, as we are layman and knew nothing about modular kitchens. As and when we started deciding with the
necessary rquirements in the kitchen and the design structure our costs kept on increasing and finally it settled at approx.
Rs 2, 00, 000/= only. And fitting charges separate of Rs. 3500/- only. Everything was final and they said it would take a month
or little more to deliver the kitchen. They gace us a 5 yr. warranty for any manufactural damage and service. There were no
Terms and conditions or rules and regulations told or given to us during the negotiations and final payment. We had asked for
MARINE PLY and they wrote in contract MDF PLY which I was not aware of and I had no idea about the differece too. On top of
that it was never explained to us. All the payment was already done. Then the worst days came in when there was a sink
issue. They couldnlt get the size of the sink we had asked for and so they convinced me to fit a lower sized sink which I was
not aware of as I am layman about all this. I let go that. Then finally one day the kitchen was delivered and fitted in 3
days. Still they had a problem with my platform design as I had giot it done from the builder. All went OK and finally the
kitchen was set and working.
After arround 7 - 8 months, the kitchen doors near the sink got loose from the hinges and came out. then the other side glass
door fitted with alluminium patti came out. Other storage cabin on top had alignment problems and also they couldnblt bear
the small weight of the utensils kept and started to bend. They are still the same. The quality is so bad as the material
they used is MDF ply which is of the worst quality and when decided for the kitchen we had asked for a MARINE PLY. When
complained they send an engineer who surved the site and reported as leakage in the kitchen and due to use of water the doors
and other cabins are damaged. I argued with them saying that if a person uses a kitchen, water is always there and no kitchen
works without water. The best part was a lady was handling my qury and she did not agree with this fact of life infact till
one and a half yr the problem persisted and repeated complaints were not taken care of. Earlier they said that they would fix
the doors and other things and water proof the kitchen for Rs. 3000/- which I was not ready to pay, as it was under warranty.
They did not agree saying that the water has spoilt the kitchen and not a manufacturing defact. I fought saying " when I had
asked for marine ply, why you gave me MDF ", they replied saying I was told and placed order for the same. There I felt
CHEATED. Lot of arguments happened but no result.
Then finally after one and half year they visited the site and are still with the argument that its not ther fault bu the
water issue. My kitchen condition right now is so bad that you can;t even imagin after paying so much money its spoilt in one
yrs time. All doors are swollen and out, the hinges are broke, the ply is coming out from all sides. the drawers are out. the
handles too have started shaking and one of them was out which was fitted ny my home carpenter. Till today date they are not
agreeing for a free replacement and accusing the water and leakage for the cause of damage.
I would like to appoint a lawyer and fight for me in consumer court for full compensation with interest or replacement with
marinbe ply. And I want justice no dates and dates till 20 yrs. My litchen is in a mess and its difficult for my mom and wife
to work in a dirty kitchen, inspite of shifting into a brand new home.
PLEASE HELP.!!!
