Card payment rejected

While on a trip to USA during April - June I carried a ICICI Debit Card. The card performance was erratic. It was rejected at many points / outlets and I had to use my other cards or cash. I do feel that there is problem related to registration of the ICICI card in the networks involved. It is better to keep a spare card of other origin or cash along with this card.
