Content weights ununiform PACKAGE

Now a days all consumer goods manufacturing companies are marketing their products in a very cunning manner. i.e. there is no UNIFORM QUANTITY weights in thier packets. They are packing their goods for a particular price like Rs.5/-, Rs.10/- like that... These packs are containing uneven weights of products like 2.5 ml, 8g, 14g, 34g, etc. While we are purchasing those Items, we could not compare the compettive price and quality easily. It's very tough and time taking calculation at shops. In our previous days there was either 25g, 50g, 100g, 250g like that. It was very easy way to every laymen. So I wish to get clear norms of our Govt or BIS standards in weights and make severe implementation of such easier packing habits among the Mfrs
