LATE HANDING OVER OF FLAT

1. I had booked a flat in Mar at Harmony Homes, Sector 57, Sushant Lok III, Gurgaon - 3. It was supposed to be handed over in Sep 2003 within 30 months as per contract except for circumstances force-de-majeure. The flat was handed over in Feb after numerous reminders and letters seeking compensation of two lakhs resulting in loss of rental income and mental harrasment. No response was ever received. The consumer forums of esteemed newspapers in Delhi like Times of India and HT did not publish our letters as presumably Ansals are well connected. I am a services officer (Indian Navy) and could not afford the time and money to take Ansals to court in New Delhi.

2. Now after three years they have levied infrastructure and development charges of Rs. 71, 000/- citing some Gurgaon Town Planning board circular. However, it has been ascertained that other housing socities in the area are not charging their residents.
