I have postpaid connection of Airtel with 1000 Rs credit limit, 299 Rs tariff plan and 98 Rs GPRS plan with 1 GB download free. On 27th May, they suspended my number on the ground on high unbilled amount which they state as approx. 5000 Rs. When I requested them that this is without discount and the plans, they are asking me to pay around 4800 Rs to continue the service, which is actually 4 times than my actual usage but they are saying that they can't do anything until I pay the amount and once the bill will be generated the excess amount will be credited into my account.

Question is why should I pay excess amount and to avoid this only I opted for 299 Rs tariff plan and 98 Rs GPRS plan to end up only to pay the excess amount of 4800 Rs.

Please look into this issue and hope this will be resolved here only, other wise I have look for consumer court option as well.
