Cheap/Nasty trick by Municipality (Drainage)-RamamurthyNagar, Bangalore

I stay in Ramamurthy nagar, Bangalore..

To Give a background of the issue

For the past few months, in our area-Ramamurthy Nagar (kalkere main road and its streets/lanes) the municipality is actually making some changes in the drainage system and as part of it, all the drainage path that are flowing outside our houses (sides) are getting renovated, i mean the old ones are broken and the are doing a cement setup in that place...

The problems that happened because of this

In this process of making/altering the drainage system, what i saw was these labours are breaking the existing drainage thereby putting all the big stone slabs that were covering and protecting the existing system and the drainage remains on the road itself...

there was no place to even take the 2W (then one could guess the other heavy vehicles) as they had used half of the road and the more hilarious part is, they were doing this parallely on all the streets thereby creating a lot of problems to the commuters and walkers..

Now the issue is, after the cement work is done, they vanish from that location leaving all the big stone slabs on the road and its a big danger not only to the commuters but also to kids and aged people... they can easily trip and fall or even get hurt by these stoneslabs...

these labours never turn back to close the drainage even after 2 months..

The trick that is played

So what happens is, since the municipality doesnt come back and this open side drainage and stone slabs are creating hell lot of problem, the residents themselves are forced to clear the mess... each and every house in our area is using their own money to cover the drainage pit and clear the stone slabs...

this is costing a minimum of 1500Rs per house... and there are houses which pay 3000Rs too...

I am sure that the government would have allocated money not just for opening the drainage and cementing it but also for closing... but why is this not done??

(1) are the municipal authorities well aware of these fradulent activities but still doenst want to listen... are they busy in dividing the money allocated for this work among themselves???

(2) or the municipal authorities are not at all aware (i am sure this cannot be the case as this is happening all over ramamruthy nagar)...

why are the people been cheated like this..???..

Some action should def be taken against these people!!!
