Shifting of Phone on new address

Sir, I have given an application to shift my landline phone at my new residential address and it is in the same exchange also. I was assured by the official that it will be shifted in 3-4 days but after repeated reminders nobody is giving any heed to my problem. Moreover when someone dials on this phone the tape runs as this no does not exist. This is really probllematic situation.
