Non-functioning of sodium vapour lamp, non-recieval of complaint

In spite of repeated phone calls to the street light maintenance department to rectify the non-functioning of sodium vapour lamps for the ward no:29, under corporator Padbhanabareddy, near his BBMP Office, next to Hennur apartments, oppsite Residence no: 1247, 2nd `B' Main road, Kacharakanahalli, The said issue is still not sorted out, The phone numbers dialled were 08032988741 & later 9343330699 for 4~5 times spread over aperiod of 2 weeks, everytime, I was promised that the person concerned would call back, till date the issue is still pending & the area is still under darkness, added to it, is the dozens of packs of stray dogs running around & barking itself out in the dead of the night & disturbing residents, thanks to the some so called upright thinking individuals of the community. the garbage dump of the BBMP next to this very same coporators office does not make things any better, wonder when better sense will prevail in this so called IT (sic) city. the redressal machinary is woefully in-adequate, every minister who takes charge, brings in cosmetic changes to add credit to her/his name, but, I ask, why not strengthen the existing delivery systems, instead of cluttering it further... hope I get to see the light in my area
