Delay in receiving the passport

I, have applied for the renewal of my passport 27-04, and the police report is cleared and is expected to be dispatched on 09-07, but till date ie. 16-08, it is showing the same status.

I want to meet my son & childrens in muscat, It is very sad the condition of India after 63th Independance from British is such, that we have to wait in our own contry to receive the passport for years.

I hope there is some body in our country who can improve this systems.

I am 75 years old, I can't go to passport office early in the morning around 6 am and stand in long queas, and the counter opens at 8 am and closes at 9 am and you don't get a chanse also.

Please I beg to you to releas my passport at the earliest.
