Indian passport re-issue pending over 6 months!!!

Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your notice that a passport re-issue application File Reference Number: DLH-G002745-10, DLH-G002744-10 was filed on Date : 03-05, in the RPO, Delhi.

Post 6 months of the application today, the passport is till not delivered, neither cleared even after repeated submission of all required documents upto the satisfaction of the regional passport officer and the concerned police authority.

Please note, that the status of the application as shown on the official site was " Police report clear. Application under process". On inquiring about the delivery date of the passport, we are now told that the police report is not clear.

The status shows "You have failed to prove your stay/produce date/place of birth documents as per police report; pls. send 3 personal particulars forms for re-verification and also clarify."

This entire process has become an ordeal, and an extremely harassing experience. I sincerely plead you to look into the matter. There seems to be no clear information or reasoning for this repeated harassment and failure to re-issue the passport.

Also it is unacceptable that the status has changed from a clear police report shown over a month to now an incomplete police report.

This is causing me grave inconvenience in my research work undertaken abroad. I have already suffered severe loss this year, and sincerely need your help to clear the matter, as the matter is beyond my understanding.
