Delay of Ems Speed Post Service

I have sent an application of Junior accounts officer in BSNL, through the using of EMS speed post service with serial No. EN40952496IN Dated:22-12. the closing date of application was 29-12. But my application was delivered on 30-12. So I have lost a golden opportunity in my career and Rs.1000 worth DD, and also my efforts to preparation for the exam.

So I am asking the reasons for the delay of delivery of my application cover. and also am demanding compensation.
