Malleshwaram Police Station
Asking for money to get passport

My parents applied for their passports. Since my father is deaf and mute, he got his passport through speed post without any police verification. However, my mother's was subject to police verification. Even after 60 days, she did not receive any information and hence went to the Malleshwaram Police Station for inquiry. She found a pile of passports lying and the police said he will not go to houses as is the rule to verify as there are many passports. He asked for 100 bucks because he had to fill up some form and made my mother, who is undergoing dialysis, wait for 2 and a half hours and said the inspector is not there and asked her to come back again the following day. She still has not got her passport and has to go back again. Even I remember paying 50 buck just because I was not there at home when the police came to verify. Now the police do not even come for verification and make us walk a hundred times and pay money to get our own passport. Who is going to look into this?
