Non- Receipt of Passport

I had submitted my application for issue of passport vide file no. Z- 068392 with key no. 9006839211 on 23rd May at district passport office, Pitampura alongwith all required documents including “No objection certificate” from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Inter-State Council Secretariat, (ISCS) New Delhi. On enquiring about status over telephone no proper response was given. Finally, I approached the grievance cell through e-mail of 2nd November, but to my dismay that even after 11 months and number of mails since then, I am yet to receive any response/acknowledgement from Grievance Officer of MEA or my passport till date.

2. The “No objection certificate” issued by the MHA was sent for verification to ISCS, MHA only on 15th November whereas the application was submitted in May. The confirmation letter was sent by MHA, ISCS on 9th December to the Regional Passport Officer, MEA, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi and inspite of having been received the confirmation of verification certificate (VC) in respect of NOC issued in my favour, the application has not been processed till date.

3 There has been abnormal delay in processing my application whereas the normal issue time is 30-45 days. The reasons for delay in issuing the passport in my favour inspite of taking up matter over phone and number of e-mail reminders may please be elaborated.

4. The status of application in the portal still shows that the “Police verification has been waived and the processing of application is underway” even after the lapse of 11 months.
