DELAY IN ISSUANCE OF PASSPORT, PASSPORT OFFICE DELHI

Even after a period of more than 4 months, i am yet to receive my passport. On enquiry, the information provided to me is my passport Application is pending for want of Police Report. However, on enquiry from Shakarpur Police Station, Delhi, information is furnished that no such application bearing such reference no. has reached concerned police station. On using IVR phone facility, it is communicated that the Passport has been dispatched on 21.06.2010 vide postal registration no. 129262. The same is hard to believe as In case if it had been dispatched on 21.06.2010 there was no occasion for me not to receive it despite a lapse of more than two months, moreover, when none has till date visited for purpose of any verification till date. The same is height of government apathy towards the cause of a responsible citizen and violation of fundamental right to travel abroad.

Awaiting necessary action at the earliest in view of the urgency involved.
