Fine charged for a person onboarded the bus in previous which is less than one KM

Chennai MTC Bus: M51V Kolathur to T-Nagar

My wife onboarded a bus (M51V Kolathur to T-Nagar - at 9:45AM) at Kanni Koil bus stop, sithalappakam. And she was waiting for conductor to issue the ticket. In a minute time bus reached next bus stop Sithalapakkam Koot road which hardly one KM distance. At the bus stop checking inspector came into the bus and asked for ticket. Though my wife explained that she has on boarded the bus in the previous stop and yet to get the ticket. But the inspector argued in a rude manner and behaved very badly and threaded my wife that she will be handed over to police. Everyone in the bus informed then that she has just on boarded in the previous stop. Inspector forced my wife to get down of the bus and illtreated badly and demanded Rs.500 fine. Finally my wife had only Rs.50 and some changes. She gave Rs.50 to the inspector. Luckly they gave a slip and also informed that you can travel for one day with that slip. So she was able to reach home back.

This is totally an unacceptable behaviour from an officer. Public always expect the public servants to behave friendly manner. I can even goto consumer court but I dont want to do that by wasting my time.
