LACK OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT

I flew Air India Express (sic) IX602 from Madras to Bombay on 13th Aug. On arrival I was surprised to find only Cool Cabs available at PrePaid Taxi section. We were told that regular NonAC taxis (Kala Peela) were not available. 1-2 kms down the road there were many Kala Peela taxis and rickshaws available.

Why is the government not introducing Meru, Mega cabs or Easy cabs at the Mumbai International Airport? There is a definite linkage between the Taxi Unions esp cool cabs, Police and local authorities in not allowing this. Why not allow Auto Rickshaws inside the Airport?

This is almost curbing fundamental rights. The main road is so far from the terminal and it is almost impossible to wade through the construction to reach the road to find a Rickshaw or a Taxi, given a choice I will definitely do that instead of paying huge amounts to the drab cool cabs or the kala peela vehicles.

Why not allow some of the AC services of BEST inside the International Aiport? The whole idea is to give maximum comfort to the passengers but here money making is the motto.
