Streert lights ON all day

I'm resident of south Delhi and work in Mohan cooperative estate. Each day while going to my office I notice that all street lights are ON starting from New Friend Colony to Alli Village. On the Apollo flyover there are poles with at least 10 lamps on each in order to give sufficient light on the flyover during night, which is good, but it keeps working all day even when it is not required.

In many parts of Delhi we see and hear that there is shortage of electricity then why is such a wastage being tolerated by us?

This is we, the most irresponsible citizens of our country, who can't work together for goodness of our countrymen. Even an illiterate person knows that he has to save energy and switch off lights of his house during day time then why these very much qualified people of MCD do not take care of such issues?? Is this because its common man problem and not directly effects them???

I request the concerned person to look into the matter and take necessary action in order to save energy and make optimum use of it. Please do something regarding this. I'm not requesting for myself but for the benefit of all.
