Passport Delay

Dear Sir,

I’m writing this letter after being frustrated by the act of Passport office Kolkata, where my wife applied for passport around 6 months back, but the status at online showing “Police Verification has not received”, though Police Verification was over 4 months back but my wife has not yet received her passport after making several complaints.

We have met Police Station and requested several times, met DIB (District Intelligence Burue) at Chinsura, Hooghly, also made complaint personally at RPO Kolkata as well as online Grievance Cell at grvcal@nic.in but nobody has given proper response or no response at all.

While running after these people, I feel if I pay some bribe or pay a handsome amount to a agent (which will indirectly go somewhere), then the passport will be in my hand immediately.

My question, how long we would be harassed like this?

If you can help in this regard, please let me know, any help would greatly be appreciated.
