Police Verification Pending from 2 Months

I have applied for the passport on 8th July but as of now I cannot able to check the exact status Ref No-A039968. After applied, the same was showing as a “APPLICATION PENDING FOR WANT OF POLICE REPORT” after 2 months. I have tried to confirm the same from my local police station but they was told me, ther is nothing pending imfact he was not recd the verification yet.
