Delay in reaching at police station for verification

Hello sir

i have applied for a passport 2 months back but till date it has not reached the police station for verification.

i have enquired at my police station recently but according to the officials they have'nt received my application, morever the enquiry status also displays that police verification is yet to receive.

so please advise me the needful in such a situation.
