Should i apply for new one?

I applied for passport in may . i attended for police verification and the status show my police verification is incomplete and asked to meet the officials with all the necessary documents. Over the last 1 year i stayed in 6 months in mysore and from feb am staying in hyderabad. Should i close the previous passport application or what can i do in this regard?
