Delay of passport

My file no. is f011656-11... i had applied on 5-4-11... police verification is done..but the passport has not been despatched... i request the authorities to despatch it asap..i have to go for my higher studies abroad and hardly there is time left for applying... the status appears frm the last 5 months that it will be despatched in a weeks time!
