Delay in passport

My son's passport (passport no H9633542) had no mention of Date of Issue and Date of Expiry due to which it was rejected by Malaysia Embassy for visa process. We submitted the passport for correction on 1 July to the passport officer at Bikaji cama place. we were told by the officer that the corrected passport will be dispatched on 5 July. But to my dismay, the passport has still not been dispatched. We had already got our tickets booked and waiting for the passport back. the Passport staff did not pay heed to our request for the minor correction and made us run pillar to post for the same on 1 july. I even requested the officer to give the corrected passport to me in hand to which he refused.

Is there anyone who can help us in this matter.
