Delay in Passport processing

Dear Sir,

Receipt No. DLH-D003728 Dated 7-Sep-10

My wife has applied for passport with Receipt No. DLH-D003728 on 7 Sep 2010 at Delhi Passport office to correct the change in surname after marriage. I had arranged for a Verification Letter that is needed for Tatkal Scheme. Her earlier passport was issued from Bareilley where her date of birth was not correctly fed into their computers. On noticing this, Delhi passport office said that they will not take this under Tatkal and rather would go for Police Verification which I accepted. I had discussed about the urgency on which PRO had assured that it will be delivered in 10 to 15 days. But till now even police verification has not been completed.

I have to travel on-site along with my family but because of delay in getting her passport I am helpless. In fact after receiving her passport I have to apply for my kid passport also.

I request if issuance of her passport be expedited.
