Passport Officer Signature missing

Hi,

I have got a new passport a few months back. I have to travel in some time now, so when i checked the passport i find that there is no Passport Officer's Signature in the page opposite to the personal details page along with the photograph. There is a seal below the passport officers signature area saying "Passport office, madurai". But the passport officer's signature is missing.

Pls help me as to what needs to be done for this.? Should i take it to the madurai passport office and raise an enquiry.
