Added mother's name instead of spouse name by passport office

I have given my passport for addition of spouse name by submitting form 2.

Application file number: PNE U000678 11

I have submitted copy of marriage certificate, my spouse passport copy, address proof.

They even asked me to pay a penalty of Rs 500 for supression of spouse name (i.e. Even though I was married I did not get spouse name added when I got my passport renewed)

After all this, when I received my passport, they added my Mother's name in the passport which was already there. Spouse name is no where added.

This is complete carelessness from such high government office. They just know how to harress common people.

Now I want to get this corrected without paying a penny to them. Is it possible?
