Asking Bribe for Verification

Bribe asked by LIU officer for proper Verification of my Newly applied Passport.

Dear Sir/Madam.

SUBJECT : - Complaint regarding bribe asked by an LIU (Legal Intelligence Officer); Mr. Yogesh Sharma.

Ref:-Passport file no. :- GZBA00314310

I like to bring your kind attention that on dated 4.2.10 .I go to meet Mr. Yogesh sharma as he told me to meet him in his office for verification of my applied passport. He told me to bring all my originals along with photocopies of each i do the same. When I reached & show him my documents he asked few Question like where i am working presently & previously. I told him that currently i am working in ARMY COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, DELHI, & previously in SARASWATI INSTITUE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, HAPUR & before it in SHADRDA HOSPITAL GREATER NOIDA.

Then he told me to self attest few copies of my document & attach that with my form.

Then he ask me to give a sum of Rs.500 as a fees when i refused to pay he said go to your home i will send report & then police verification occured. When police officer come to my house on 16/2 . He said my parent personally & to me telephonicaly that i am not living in my home from past one year when i asked to that officer sir who told you that he said it is written in your form by LIU officer. As you are working in greater noida & then in hapur respectively. And then police officer told me like this your passport will not be granted by authority. I am returning your form back to LIU office you go & meet over there & give some money for Tea & Coffee.

Sir, I just want to ask ; being a citizen of India by birth; a member of a reputed family in Sahibabad. Having no criminal record/case. Then why i am being harassed by government official.

I just want to know is this is the work procedure of Indian government machinery; that without bribe no; work will be done ; & that too bribe asked by (LIU officer) ; the security of our country are in the hands of such corrupt officers.

Well i request you to kindly look into matter seriously; & take proper action on these corrupt employees.
