Excess Pension fund paid and now want to recover after 2 years

Dear Sir,

I am writing this complain on behalf of my dad who is a retired railways worker, he successfully completed his job with over 35 years of service for the central railways Jabalpur,

now he is retired and receives pension, just 15 days back he received a letter from the bank stating that he was paid an excess pension for the past 2 years and now they want to recover the amount from him by deducting part of his pension every month, he is just tensed up and does not know what to do and how to react to the situation. The bank states they have to recover over 2 lakhs from him as there was some calculation error in while the pay commission was calculated.

What should we do now ..is ther any way to solve this problem..the only sorce of income for my parents is this pension.
