Police Department of Silvassa
Not enough cultured to handle the respected citizens

Sir.

I would like to invite your kind attention that on 10th Sept I went to the Silvassa Police Station (UT of Dadra & Nagar haveli) at 5.30 pm to lodge a complaint that one container dashed

against my private car and damaged it very near to the Police station along with the that Driver of the Container. As I was very much upset over the matter, I shouted to that driver at Police station. I

experienced the follows.

1) All the Police force started shouting at me . " It is Police Station, do not shout here" " Edhar akey chillana nahin. chop". Ihad to say " sorry "several times to all of them. Till they were not in a position to have a soft corner at me. As a result the culprit

truck driver got points to escape telling that it was not his fault.

2) All the Police persons were insisting me Not to speak in English.

May I therefore like to request that (i) Let all the Police persons be taught English to coordinate with the learned persons. I read some where that the Government is teaching English and Computer to the Police persons. At Silvassa police station, atleast the Police man at the level of Havaldars. ASI. SI. Inspector level be taught English.

Let them speak good English and it should be a major criteria for them in getting Promotion and recruitment. (2) If a man who suffered injury

, and if he shouts to the culprit (not to the Police personnels), let the Police men do not shout at him or keep him mouth shut. It simply encourages the culprit who find a wrong way to escape and

gets point to dominate the real honest man who sufferes. The Police men can request him " sir, please do not get exited, we are here to

listen you and solve the Problem, please tell us your problem".

Moreover, professional like us never like to enter to any Police Station for the reason that those men in " khaki" are not the right persons to help the respected citizens.

However, I would like to send you the letter to you for the developement / upliftment of the Police force for better quality which is very much necessary now a days.

Let them understand that Police station is not the Temple as they told " don`t shout, it is Police Station" nor they are the cultured

people to teach the respected citizens.
