Plastic bags are given for a price

Hi Sir,

In all major shopping centers, Reliance; Dmart; More, they are charging money for covers.

It is being said that, Government has passed an order to price plastic bags.

Their main intention is to make the use of plastic less.

But when u go to shop, u don’t carry your own bag. Everybody buy the covers. Where the objective of Government for passing this GO is then fulfilled?

Here the shop owners are being benefitted. They are earning thousands of rupees per day on selling this covers alone.

Instead the govt can ask the same business people to use other alternative forms of packing the products; like jute bags.

I have seen in remote villages, even groceries are being sold in jute covers with no price being charged. Actually jute bags are more costly than plastic but not burdening the consumer. I really salute these small shop owners who make huge profits, far behind the biggies.

I sincerely ask the concerned authorities to think over this matte
