Sir.

Sub:- Complaint against an officer Shri. S S Thombre for mis-behaviour & illogical fine

Please refer the following sequence of event.

1) I was passing in my scooty from nasikphata signal to ajmera. When I crossed the white line there were still 7seconds for the light to turn red

3) I thought this is the indication to be slow to my followers and I did not stop for signal as there was still time.

4) When I almost crossed the signal, a traffic Police man, Mr Thombre stopped me and asked for driving License.By the time he stopped me, the light turned yellow.

5) I produced the same and immediately he replied that, I have jumped the traffic signal so I have to pay the Rs. 200/-

6) I told him that there was still 7second when I crossed the white line but he was in no mood to listen. As he knew as a girl I wont protest much so he asked me to pay the fine & leave.

7) He even didnt give me any receipt which could state that I have been fined for Rs 100, I asked him under which rule this fine is charged? He said “who r u to ask me that?

9) When I told him that I will complaint against him, The policeman created a seen by saying and challenging me to do whatever I want.

I would like to know that, is this type of officers tolerated in police department. Are they working to safeguard the public interest or screw the happiness of the common man? Who will prove the actual situation whether one has violated the Rules or not? Only having a Uniform is sufficient for the officers like Shri. Thombre to bend the Law as per their whims and fancies?

Sir, if without any reason common people are fined, we will lose respect for police. But I think this will not be a case. And hopefully your honor will take suitable action against the officers including Mr Thombre. I think this is the pity of our system that, the police are misusing their powers to the maximum extent. The victims of the same are general public, the citizen of India.
