Faulty construction of flat

We live in a multi-storeyed apartment which has lot of leaking and electrical problems. It was not properly handed over to us as the builders left us to handle all the problems on our own and we had to form an association on our own. The building has water leakage, electrical issues and many major cracks. Though we have registered a complaint in cosumer forum in Sept 08 we have so far not received a positive response. The builder is very influential and hence, even though the problems are unavoidable visible to any person, we are yet denied justice.
