Complain about DD TOWNSHIP LTD (by DD INFRASTRUCTURE, division of D.D Industries Ltd)

Hi

I am making this complaint about DD TOWNSHIP LTD which is owned by DD INFRASTRUCTURE (division of D.D Industries Ltd). I had booked a plot 6 years back for their Mohali project. I had paid the initial booking amount for 5, 50, 000. I was also told project is trying to get approval for development and in case there are long delays, I can take my money back with 10% interest.

I waited for 3 years patiently and then started asking for my money. I was doing all this through my agent who is in Delhi. Agent is very well known to one of our family member and recommended by him. So I had full trust in him. But now after trying hard for 3 years (this much time was passed using various excuses like VP is away, manager is away etc etc). Now finally agent is telling builder is ready to give money in the form of cheque but I will have to return my booking receipt plus sign some documents that I have got all my money back. But I will get a cheque which is 2 months in advance. Now I am worry about following things

1. I am not sure how much reliable a cheque will be as we hear so many stories that it usually gets bounced and this cheque

is already 2 months in advance. I told him that I have already waited for 3 years why I am not given same day checkque. But I was told this is the process and I have to follow it.

2. If I take cheque, I will lose my original booking receipt also plus sign documents stating that I have received my money back. So I am in a fix now. Should I take any action against builder now and take the cheque first and then do something in case it is bounced. Also I want to know what action I can take and what are my chances to win?
