Landlords in Bangalore
Rent Deposit

Real Estate

Landlords in Bangalore are so greedy that they demand a 10 month rental deposit - which they return minus all sorts of charges despite there being only normal wear and tear.

In effect, tenants have to hold one full year's rent in hand if they want to rent a home in Bangalore. That is - 10 months deposit to the landlord, one month rent to the agent if used, one month advance rent to the landlord as per normal agreement. 12 months at the beginning of tenancy!!

To educate citizens that they NEED NOT pay more that 3 months rent as of since it would be ILLEGAL to do so, here is the Tenancy Act 2011. Please read this, everyone - and do circulate as far and wide as possible so that we may unite to make complaints to the Rent Control, if the landlords still continue with this practice.
