The owner is very reluctant in attending the problems that were observed after you stay in their flat given as rental accomodation. Before finalization, they assured that there is no problems associated with the flat and if there is any, they will attend to it and get it rectified. Now we are facing many problems, some of which I had tried myself to get reolved by putting extra money and efforts. The problems are listed below:
I am writing this so that next tenants could easily know and get these issues resolved before finalization of rental accomodation.
1) Persistent choking of sewage system: Since it is a ground floor flat, sewage system got choked after every 20-25 days. You have to keep traking the socity sweepers to get it dechoked. For any delay, you would be ending up with fouled toilets
2) Even when sewage system is dechoked, toilets are not getting properly flushed because of problems in shit pot discharge design. You have to flush the toilets with throwing an additional bucket of water with a velocity jet.
3) Cisterns are not working properly: overflowing, leakage, passing, damaged toilet seats
4) Water pressure: You can not have water in your taps unless you install a motor pump to boost pressure so that overhead tank can be filled up. Owner refuses to install. I did it at my own cost.
5) Electrical sockets and plugs: Electrical wiring and sockets/plugs are not in place for many rooms as per the requirements. Some of them are rectified by owner but not all. We have installed at our own cost.
Why owners always insist on installing the items on tenant's cost when all these items are required by each tenant. Why he permanantly fixes the things?
