Owner cheated deposit

3 month ago i asked my owner if we can have a dog before we purchase one of the breed. He told us yes, u may so i and my brother bought one of the breed. As for yesterday he told us he need to raise $150 rental. Imagine empty room without any furnish, aircon, water heater and it just a common room is cost $750 per month. It daylight rob. We disagree and he give us 2 option. Either we stay till march and cannot have a dog with us or we move by end of feb and he don pay us back the deposit. Everyone what kind of option is this. It very clearly this guy is ccheating on us and using our breed as a reason. Will you throw away a cute breed? I not cause it inhuman to do that. The address is jurong west st91 blk 942 #08-xxx.
