COMPULSORY SHIFTING OF GAS CONNECTION

Sir,

In Air Force Station Chandigarh, Air Officer Commanding has issued a notice to all Indane Gas consumers of Air Force Gas Agency that by 30 Sep 2011 all retired Defence offices and Exservicemen are to shift their gas connections to civil agencies. Air Force gas agency only will cater for serving personnel.

My question is -

Why this step motherly treatment with retired defence personnel who has rendered minimum 20 yrs of service?

Is it lawfully justified to compulsory shift the connections from one agency to other agencies?

Kindly suggest, is there any legal action can be taken to stop this.
