Hacking of password

When i opened my email around 5 to 5.30 PM today on 30.03.2010 i found in my email a message and opened and i read as follows:-

That this is from hotmail.com we require the following information to secure your hotmail account, otherwise, your hotmail account will be scrapped.

The form contains following:

1. Name of the person

2. Name of the hotmail

3.Password

4 Phone No.

Since I am not very familiar with operations of email, i have given all the information that has been asked in the email. But later between half an hour to 45 minutes time, i found it is been hacked and they started sending foolish messages to all over using my changed password. Therefore, it is requested to kindly block it in total and give me new password and also inform the concerned person in hotmail.com that totally any messages gone through from my name i.e.davidpremnath@hotmail.com to any part of the world from around 5 PM onward today, should be ignored. Because it is all fake / wrong information and somebody is fooling by hacking my password. At the sametime, i may be allotted new password to enable me to seem my account. I am the Secretary General of Masters Athletic Federation of India and officially authorised to send Indian Masters Athletic Teams to various countries of the world for sports participation. As such, your immediate action will be highly appreciated
