I had applied for a new airtel postpaid mobile connection at Jaipur. Towards this, I had given a copy of my driving license, a copy of my PAN card and also a copy of my Passport. All these were towards verification of my identity and proof of residence. I had also paid a sum of Rs.500/-(Five Hundred Only), as directed by the company desk executive. Thereafter, I was assured that the SIM card which was given to me would become active within 24 hrs. However, despite reminding the company executives several times the SIM remained inactive even after five days. Thereafter, when I decided to return the SIM, due poor Services, in order to get my money back, the same company executives informed me that the procedure for returning money is quite tedious and will take three days minimum, so it would be in my favor to continue with the Airtel, whose services were yet to deliver, rather than try and return the SIM. I was harassed by the company executives and now I have vowed never to buy any Airtel SIM card in future. I will also discourage my friends and relatives to opt for Airtel Services.
