Inactive sim card

My cellone sim card is not being detected. The problem is not with the handset as I tried using another sim card in it. I have been using this BSNL cellone sim card (9422332214) for the last 6 years under the student plan (plan-99) and today it suddenly became inactive. Please rectify the problem with the service at the earliest.
