Didn't block the no more than 5 days on lost of the cell phone

My cell phone has lost recently and I asked customer care to block my number. This is very much frustrating that instead of continuously following up and making at least 10 calls per day to customer care, they haven't blocked it since last 4 days. I am very much worried about any misuse of this but the airtel guys are really irresponsible, very time they asked that server is down. I don't know if continuously till 3-5 days server is down than what service is Airtel is providing to its customer. This time I am really done a mistake to choose airtel.
