I joined Airtel Prepaid scheme as I travel to India regularly and I needed a local number to keep in contact with people. Along with talk time I also purchased data as I have an iphone 3gs. The problem is that every time I surf the net it deducts money from my talk time and not from my data account (2gb of data was purchased at Rs. 98) So far, I have recharged Rs 500 worth of talk time as the idiots at Airtel Jaipur MI road have no idea how to fix the problem. I must have tried to ring 121 and 198 about 50 times on various occasions and so far I have not managed to speak to any customer service rep as every time I select any options the automated voices asks me to ring some stupid number (*121 or something) and hangs up on me. All I want from all you jokers is to be able to set up my data, but it looks like it is too much to ask for. I am going to Aircel or Vodafone this afternoon and change my service provider. Trust me I will be a very good spokesperson for Airtel and will endorse your products to anyone and everyone who is prepared to listen. Sort your customer service out or you will loose customers and your market share in no time.
