LEGAL NOTICE CLAIMING OUTSTANDING DUES AFTER 5 MONTHS OF SURRENDERING THE POST-PAID CONNECTION

Sir,

I had one idea post-paid connection no.9093100699 and after using this no for a couple of months, i surrendered it on 30th March'10 at the local outlet of idea in durgapur. Address of the said office is GC9 ADDA, Shopping Plot, City Centre, Durgapur-16. I was given a payment receipt and the receipt no. was 953. I was told that everything was settled and this no. has got disconnected.

Now, after 5 months the company has sent me a legal notice by asking for payment of Rs.584.83 and it is also stated in the letter that failing which they would take appropriate legal action (criminal as well as civil) against me. How could they do this when i have already surrendered the connection and have got a proof.

You are requested to take necessary action to help me.
