Blackberry Internet Service Rs899/month

As a traveller I required the Blackberry Internet Service (BiS) and thier BBM (Messaging) and browsing facilities.

I currently have 14 days remaining in my stay in Bangalore. I have been charged an amount of Rs.899 towards the BlackBerry UMP (Unlimited Monthly Pack?) but yet to avail of the facility.

A call to 121 customer service is met with the response that the service is 'active' on my account. They are unable to resolve the query and say a Technical Service Representative will call me back regarding the same. Its yet to happen.

If there are any senior airtel representatives browsing this forum, My contact number is 9 _ 8 _ 4 _ 5 _ 4 x 1 _ 0 _ 1 _ 4 _ 4 to see if you can rectify this.

Essentially I am writing this to warn others not to waste the Rs.900 (US$ 25 Approx) and more importantly their time and patience.

If you are in urgent need of connectivity while travelling here, opt for an on the go internet dongle like the Tata Photon or other ISPs.

My blackberry handset is mint, works like a charm in Australia, NZ and Thailand. Its plug and play but not so with Airtel!!
