Missed Calls

I am writing this to warn Airtel subscribers in Kerala. The company is indulging in a new illegal practice to fleece its customers.

Many subscribers in the past few days have been shocked to find that Airtel is deducting Rs 11 for interntional calls that are not answered. In other words, if you make a call and there is no reply from the other side, you still are forced to pay Rs11!

This is a highly unscrupulous practice on the part of the company. I don't know if this happens in the other states. But it is rampant in Kerala. I hope the country's telecommunications authorities will take note of this and put an end to it immediately.
