Mobile Companies Towers on house tops
Illegal mobile towers on residential premises roofs with grave physical danger to life and property

Telecommunications

There are illegal mobile towers in house no.3/1404 and 3/1030 duplex houses of Vasundhara Housing Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad along with other mushrooming mobile towers in adjoining houses and group housing societies in other sectors of this scheme. Recently in one house of sector 1, the generator caught fire and set the house on fire. There have been so much noise in the news but with least preventive and pre-emptive action from the authorities and the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Central Govt. TRAI and DOT said to have laid certain norms and guidelines on the subject but only to be flouted by the gullible people and the corrupt officials in the system. There is no doubt that from the environment protection point of view, the mobile towers apart from being an engineering hazard do pose a microwave disaster from the health point of view only to quench greed of the few people who have the scant regard for the public safety and health.

Now the moot question is what the higher authorities in Central Government like CPCB, Ministry of Environment, M/o Telecom, TRAI and UPPCB are doing in this regard. Are they waiting for a series of disasters on this account?
