I had purchased an AIRTEL prepaid sim card no 8861442836 from a shop at
AECS Layout, Kundalahalli by submitting relevant documents of address and
identity almost 40 days ago.
Today, Friday 13th May 201, at 11:35 AM i received a call from 918049062550
introducing themselves as from Airtel, and want to do verification.
I give them my address and they say it does not match their records!!
What bullshit are these guys talking i could not believe my ears!
They are not even ready to tell me what address they have on records, when i
have given my exact and original address
They said they will deactivate my sim card as my address does not match!
But how do i know they are an Airtel team calling from 918049062550??
Could be fake... who knows..
These days with all kind of scams / crimes taking place... verification calls
are a suspect... it is a sensitive issue especially if you are parting with your
personal details
These service providers could also be selling / revealing customer data
to banks and such other agencies
SUCH A FUCKIN BUNCH OF IDIOTS IN THEIR BACKEND TEAM / CALLCENTER
