I have been an Airtel Customer for 10 Years. For the past 2 years or so, my bills have been consistently in the 1000/- or less bracket. All of a sudden for the past two months, Airtel has given me a bill of 10, 000/-. The Call and SMS charges are only about - but the GPRS charges are 8000/- for two months! I complained to them and they said the data download charges implied are correct and have to be paid. I said they were too high and you guys are looting customers in the name of mobile GPRS, I complained multiple times and asked them provide a waiver and cancel my GPRS, I have atleast 50 Airtel connections between me and my family and for a customer of 10 years who has always paid the bills on time, they are completely unwilling to reduce the charges. They are manipulating the customer by waiting for such opportunities to over charge the customer, like predators. They never educate the customer about the increasing bill and the data download charges or usage statistics. They wait for the customer to be unaware and look for an opportunity and pounce on him. Having the largest market share and customer base makes them the king and the customer is utterly disregarded. In the name of data download they are blackmailing me into paying a very high sum and I will take this matter up with the court of law if I have to. The phone number is important to me and they know I cannot forfeit it and so they are trying to extract money from me. Please help!
